No. You can snap receipts, forward them by email on Plus, log expenses yourself, or import past transactions. A bank connection is not required.

Create an account, then snap your first receipt. Reign reads the details and suggests a category for the expense and tags for its items. You can check and edit the results.

Yes. Reign is available for iOS and Android, and in your browser at app.heyreign.com. Sign in with the same account to access your records across devices.

Import them. Reign reads CSV, TSV and Excel files, or a table you paste. It fills in what it can, including wallets, categories and transfer pairs. You check it all before you import, and you can undo an import later. Free includes 1 import a month of up to 500 rows; Plus includes 20 a month of up to 50,000 rows each.

Snap a receipt or upload a photo. Reign reads the merchant, date, total and individual items, then suggests a category for the expense and tags for its items. You can check and edit the details. Your first receipt can save automatically when a wallet matches its currency; you can edit the saved expense too.

You can edit the amount, date, merchant, items and category before or after saving an expense. If the photo is unclear, try again with the whole receipt in focus.

Yes. Reign reads the currency from the receipt. Insights converts amounts to your space’s currency with daily exchange rates. Converted totals are estimates, and Insights reports records it could not convert.

Yes. Use Quick log to add an expense by entering an amount, category, and wallet. It is included on Free and does not use a receipt scan.

Yes, on Plus. Copy your receipt address from Email receipts and forward a receipt to it. Reign reads the details and adds it to To review. You can also set up forwarding rules for specific senders or give a shop your Reign address at checkout.

Open Email receipts in Reign and choose the Gmail guide. Add your Reign address in Gmail’s forwarding settings, then confirm the request shown in Reign. Create a Gmail filter for a receipt sender and choose your Reign address as the forwarding destination.

Insights shows spending by category and store, changes over time, and the purchases behind those totals. Open a category, store, or item to look more closely. Free includes this month and the previous month; Plus lets you browse your full recorded history.

Yes. Set spending targets for categories or for a specific period, such as a trip. Reign compares your recorded spending with the target, and you can open the breakdown to see the purchases behind it.

Create a space and invite someone to it. Members can see the wallets, transactions, and spending totals in that space. Free includes 2 spaces you own, with 1 other member in each. Plus includes 10 spaces you own, with up to 10 other members in each.

Only what’s in the spaces you share: their wallets and transactions. Spaces they haven’t joined stay private. Turning off shared logging on a wallet stops other members adding transactions to it, but it does not hide the wallet.

No. You can share a Free space with one other person. If you need more members, the space owner needs Plus; invited members can stay on Free. Each person keeps their own scan allowance.

Liabilities — personal loans and debts you owe. Track a mortgage, student loan, credit card balance, or money you owe a friend. Add the balance and payment details, then record payments as you make them.

Reign can estimate when you will finish paying off your debts and how much interest remains. Build a payoff plan, compare payment orders, and try extra payments in the simulator. The projections use the balances, rates, and payments you record.

Free includes 30 receipt scans, 3 spending wallets and 2 savings wallets in each space, 2 spaces you own and 3 debts to track, with no card required. Plus includes 400 scans a month and higher limits. Its price depends on where you subscribe: on the web, or through the App Store or Google Play.

Yes. Email receipts share your 400 monthly scans on Plus. Reading email documents uses scans, including the message itself or attachments Reign reads. An email can use more than one scan. When your scans run out, emails wait until your scans renew. Forward receipts from selected senders rather than your whole inbox.

You can use Free for as long as you like, with no payment card required. It includes 30 free receipt scans as a one-time allowance. Plus is a paid subscription with 400 scans a month.

You keep Plus until the end of the period you have paid for. After that, Free limits apply. Your saved receipts and transactions remain, but Plus features and the longer Insights history window are no longer available.

Reign reads the merchant, date, amount and items automatically, using a receipt-reading service. You can check and edit what it read. Our privacy policy explains how receipt data is processed and which service providers we use.

Reign saves the receipt it read and an activity record with the sender, the arrival time and the result. Email delivery and receipt-reading providers also process the message. Reign receives emails sent to your receipt address; it does not need access to your mailbox.

We never sell your financial data. Service providers process data to run the app, read receipts and manage subscriptions. Members of a shared space can see the records in that space. Our privacy policy explains what is shared and why.

Yes. In Settings, request a data export. It downloads as a ZIP containing CSV files and the receipt images still stored in your account. Account deletion is also in Settings. If Plus is active, cancel the subscription and wait until it ends before requesting deletion.
